Our Team

John Kasich

Founder

John Kasich served as Ohio’s Governor for two terms, from 2011 to 2019, leaving a lasting impact on the state. His political journey began at just 26 when he was elected as a State Senator.

Kasich then represented Ohio in Congress for 18 years, during which he chaired the powerful U.S. House Budget Committee, where he played a key role as the chief architect of the historic Balanced Budget Agreement. He also served on the House Armed Services Committee, contributing to critical national defense initiatives.

Outside of public office, Kasich held leadership roles in the private sector, including as Managing Director at Lehman Brothers. He also made his mark in academia as a presidential fellow at The Ohio State University and shared his insights as a commentator on NBC, CNN, and Fox News. A prolific author, Kasich has written four New York Times bestsellers, cementing his influence in both political and literary circles.

He is married to Karen Kasich and is the proud father of twin daughters.


Beth Hansen

Co-Founder

Beth Hansen is an accomplished leader and trusted advisor, recognized for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in high-pressured environments. H background includes providing leadership and direction to an executive staff and workforce of 41,000 state employees with an annual budget of $62 billion, serving as Governor Kasich's Chief of Staff all 8 years of his administration. She is the first woman named Chief of Staff to an incoming Ohio Governor.

In the electoral arena, she successfully managed campaigns at the local, state and national level. Her experience and passion for her work marks her as an individual who understands, appreciates and meets the needs and desires of her clients

A Detroit, Michigan native, Beth and her husband live in the Eastmoor neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio and are parents of two adult daughters. In her free time, she participates in charity bike rides and recently cycled the length of Wales from Cardiff to Holyhead.


Trevor Johnson

Account Executive and COO

Trevor Johnson began his career as a staffer during Governor Kasich’s 2016 presidential campaign. He then served in multipole roles within the Kasich Administration from 2016-2019, culminating as the Director of Scheduling.

At the Kasich Company, he brings a background of state government and campaign experience. Trevor goes above and beyond to implement solutions to client needs. Trevor is a 2015 graduate of Miami University.

Trevor and his wife reside in Victorian Village near downtown Columbus, where they enjoy walking to local restaurants and are avid Columbus Crew season ticket members.


Chevy Hinderlong

Executive Assistant

Chevy graduated from The Ohio State University in 2024 with a degree in communications, bringing experience in management and sales. With Chevy’s background and dedication, he helps clients find solutions and accommodate their needs.

Chevy lives in Delaware, Ohio, and enjoys Ohio State Football, spending time outdoors, and discovering new hobbies during his free time.


Barney Skladany

Senior Associate

Barney Skladany has over 35 years of experience in government relations. He previously served as Senior Partner with top lobbying firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. He was named by First Street Research Group as one of the 30 most powerful lobbyists in Washington, D.C. in 2011. He brings decades of experience in federal government to the Kasich Company.

Barney has a J.D. from George Washington University Law and a B.A. from Rutgers. He and his wife reside in Alexandria, Virginia with their dog and cat. They enjoy spending time at the Outer Banks of North Carolina.


Wayne Struble

Senior Associate

Wayne Struble is a well-respected public policy leader with decades of experience in developing policy on major national issues. After earning his MBA from the University of Missouri at St. Louis, he served for more than 20 years on Capitol Hill, where he worked for congressional leaders. During that time, he served as the staff director for the U.S. House Budget Committee, where he worked to help balance the federal budget for the first time in decades.

Wayne also served as director of policy for the State of Ohio for more than 7 years under Ohio Governor John R. Kasich, where he helped transform the state by tackling major reforms in economic development, transportation, health care, education and the environment.

Wayne also spent more than 13 years as an engineer for McDonnell Douglas, where he worked on several major aircraft programs.

Wayne resides in Upper Arlington, Ohio, enjoys following the Yankees and spending time at his home in South Bend, near the campus of Notre Dame.


Steve Rossetti

Senior Associate

Steve Rossetti is an established government affairs professional specializing in navigating the complex government and political processes to assist companies and organizations in achieving their goals.

He is a former senior staff member of the House Armed Services Committee and White House appointee where his portfolio included oversight of the Department of Defense infrastructure and combat readiness, directing a subcommittee with nearly $100 billion in annual spending.

In 2001, Steve left Government to serve as President of Markquest, a Washington-based consulting, government relations and lobbying firm representing and participating in companies in sectors including defense and national security, finance, technology, and human resources.

Steve also serves as President of the American Logistics Association and has received several honors for his service from the Congress, the President, and the Secretary of Defense. Steve also serves on several private and public boards in the technology, health care and national security sectors.

Steve resides with his wife Robbie Rich just across the Washington D.C. line in Bethesda, Maryland. They enjoy the close proximity to their workplaces on Capitol Hill and Federal enclaves and the political vibrance of the area along with the beauty of this historical region.
